MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Mental health challenges affect individuals from all walks of life. By training your team in Mental Health First Aid, you can make a positive impact within your organization. Attendees will learn early signs of distress, how to provide support, and guide individuals towards appropriate resources. Just like physical first aid is provided until medical treatment can be obtained, MHFA is given until appropriate support is found or until the crisis is resolved.

REDUCE STIGMA

Stigma surrounding mental health prevents many people from seeking help. MHFA training helps teams break barriers and create a culture of understanding, empathy, and compassion. By creating a safe space for open conversations, you contribute to a society that values mental well-being.

ENHANCE YOUR SKILLS

Mental Health First Aid equips teams with evidence-based strategies to address various mental health challenges. From depression and anxiety to substance abuse and suicidal ideation, you'll gain the knowledge to identify warning signs, initiate conversations, and offer immediate support. These skills are not only applicable in your personal life but can also enhance your professional endeavours.

Joseph Gibbons Discovering Optimal

Welcome! I'm Joseph Gibbons -- professor in Exercise Science and Lifestyle Management, and an accredited mental health first aid instructor and practitioner.

While I have always pursued optimal health and wellness, I haven't always been successful at it.

My journey to optimal health and wellness was anything but linear. Life has brought me to my knees on more occasions than I have space to share here.

Out of my journey was born a mission to help as many people as possible enhance their overall vitality and wellness.

Investing in Mental Health First Aid training is an investment in your employees, your loved ones, and your organization. Become a catalyst for positive change, break barriers, and help foster a culture of compassion and support.
